Egg

2026

burnt paper, gilded paper, burnt beech, plywood

48 × 38 × 6 cm

Insights

Egg emerged from an ongoing exploration of machine-generated imagery, utilizing a laser engraver on paper. As the initial piece in an upcoming series, it depicts a simple yet highly symbolic subject. Through repetition and randomness governed by computer code—and utilizing no fewer than four thousand laser cuts—the process pushes the machine to its limits. By subverting the tool's primary functions, it generates subtle textures, at once fragile and intense, that ultimately pierce the page. Much like discovering gold by chance deep within a mine, the piece illustrates a constant quest through the intricacies of matter to uncover light. Echoing this transformative process, the solid beechwood frame was custom-built and intentionally scorched.

Concrete Block

2026

MDF black, lacquer paint, ipe wood

41,2 × 41,2 × 4 cm

Insights

Concrete Block emerged from an ongoing exploration of machine-generated imagery, created using a CNC router on a black MDF panel pre-painted in white. As the first piece in a series, it features a subject that is both raw and deeply symbolic. Driven by computer-coded repetition and randomness—requiring no fewer than five hundred engraving paths—the process pushes the machine to its absolute limits. By subverting the tool's primary functions, the repeated passage of the router bit slashes through the pristine white surface. As it carves into the material, the machine reveals the underlying black layer, exposing a grainy, sharp texture that evokes coal or the rugged rock of a volcanic slope. Like a relentless quest through layers of matter, the piece illustrates a fascinating tension between the purity of the surface and the exposed roughness of the relief. A custom ipé wood frame was crafted by the artist.

Darkness Breaker

2024

beeswax candle, brake discs, padauk wood, Makita side handle, Sterling sander handle, aluminium hand wheel, spring latch, cable drum, plastic (ASA and PETG), steel and stainless steel fasteners

70 × 60 × 25 cm plus candle of variable height

Insights

Darkness Breaker is a sculptural work that reinterprets the candelabra. By repurposing components from industrial machinery—such as brake discs, cable drums, and handles—the work explores the aesthetic potential of these technical elements. The structure, inspired by the form of a jackhammer, evokes electromechanics as a symbol of the modern progress of a techno-scientific civilization. In contrast, the traditional addition of a beeswax candle suggests religious ritual and spiritual quest. This apparent opposition highlights the timeless pursuit of knowledge, evoking humanity's enduring quest for a universal truth.

Cross Barbell

Crossfit Barbell

2023

padauk wood, PETG & TPU 3D prints, Domyos 5 kg iron cast weight, dumbbell bars, steel

251 × 91 × 19 cm

Insights

Crossfit Barbell is a hybrid object that combines elements of an Olympic weightlifting barbell with a wooden Christian cross, reminiscent of the one Christ carried. The intricate, sharp-edged motifs carved into the wood are inspired by the knurling grips found on weightlifting bars, meticulously crafted by hand using a plunge saw. The integration of 3D-printed connectors allows for easy disassembly and transport, while adding a futuristic dimension to the artwork's underlying narrative.

Windows XP Desktop Lamp

2024

ViewSonic VX922 monitor (without LCD), stained glass, plastic (PETG + NGEN), powersupply, esp32, cables, power connectors, stainless steel fasteners

47.5 × 43.5 × 20 cm plus 60 cm 5-cables power cord and extension of variable length

Insights

Windows XP Desktop Lamp is a sculptural work that examines the computer screen as a symbolic object. After removing the LCD panel from a vintage ViewSonic VX922 monitor, only the device’s inherent backlighting was preserved. A custom-designed sheet of leaded stained glass, inspired by the iconic colors of the Windows logo, was integrated into its place and secured by silver-finished 3D-printed supports. This juxtaposition of artificial light, handcrafted glass, metallic-looking plastic, and raw lead creates a dialogue between ancient traditions and modern technological practices. The work evokes a transition from collective worship in churches to new, connected digital rituals, where individuals, seated before their screens, participate in a shared experience. Here, the screen is no longer a barrier but a gateway to an almost tangible elsewhere—an opening onto an immaterial yet omnipresent dimension.

Monster Syringe

Monster Syringe (Original)

2023

Monster Energy Drink Original 50 cl, parts of out-of-service machines, 1 kg Decathlon cast iron weight, brass tube, natural stones, velvet, breeze blocks, threaded rods, galvanized steel and stainless steel fasteners, plastic (PETG)

40 × 120 × 38 cm

Insights

Monster Syringe is an assemblage that combines the mechanical and structural elements of various decommissioned machines with 3D-printed components. The entire object is embellished with natural stones set into screw heads embedded within the prints, evoking the meticulous ornamentation of goldsmithing. It is presented on a velvet cushion fitted into concrete breeze blocks, recalling the display and veneration of Christian relics. The sculpture’s overall form, together with the inclusion of a 50 cl can of Monster—an energy drink commonly used as a pre-workout supplement—suggests the possibility of the object functioning as a tool. However, what kind of tool remains deliberately unresolved. Whether it is a weapon, a universal remedy, or a performance-enhancing device, its function is left entirely to the viewer to determine.
